About Damocles InteractiveDamocles Interactive Ltd. was founded in 1987 by a small team of ex-Atari engineers, operating out of a former Atari satellite office in Clearwater, Florida. Our previous product, the 32-bit S.W.O.R.D. (1993), earned a devoted following among enthusiasts for its ambitious polygon hardware and its uncommonly demanding software library. The Maestro is our return to the sprite-and-tilemap sensibilities of our earlier work. It is a simpler machine, but a more honest one. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed building it. — The engineering staff, Clearwater, November 1995 |
